The winter transfer window is always a time of intense speculation and potential big-money deals. Numerous notable stars are being linked with moves away from their present clubs. Here is a look at some of the major names that could be changing clubs in January.

Antoine Semenyo

Despite the Black Stars' failure to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, this has left the player available, reports suggest an important move is imminent. The Bournemouth attacker has a deal with a substantial release clause active for a short period in early January. Recent developments point to the Premier League champions look to have won the race for his services. Other interested parties like Chelsea and Tottenham are said to have moved on to alternative targets, leaving teams like Liverpool or Manchester United to make a last-minute move.

Marc Guéhi

This English centre-back has continued to impress for Crystal Palace despite a previous move to Anfield falling through. With his contract set to run out in the summer, January is the club's final opportunity to obtain a fee for their captain. Numerous elite clubs, such as City and multiple European giants including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, are believed to be interested. Yet, a January exit is considered difficult, particularly given the manager's dependence on the defender.

B. Johnson

This Welsh forward has found starting minutes hard to come by at Tottenham this term. Despite being the side's leading goalscorer the previous campaign, Johnson has started only a handful of league games. It is understood the North London outfit is willing to consider a transfer for the correct price, believed to be in the around £40 million. Bournemouth are currently leading the chase, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford also showing an interest.

Rúben Neves

The Portugal playmaker could be set for a comeback to the English top flight following a spell in Saudi Arabia. Now only twenty-eight, and with his contract ending in the summer of 2026, he is a potential opportunity. Teams such as Liverpool and Manchester United have been connected to the player. Furthermore, there are rumours from Spanish media that he is willing to take a reduced salary for a switch to the Spanish giants.

M. ter Stegen

This experienced Germany goalkeeper finds himself as third-choice at Barcelona under the coach Hansi Flick. After fallen out of favour and undergone an operation, a January exit seems increasingly probable. Aston Villa were initially linked as a potential destination, but that move currently seems unlikely. Instead, interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia are reportedly showing curiosity in the 33-year-old.

I. Toney

The proven English striker has kept finding the net regularly in Saudi Arabia. A return to the Premier League could enhance his dwindling chances of making the England squad.
